Among OM Lesmo’s wide range of machines there is also the Drum Twister Machine.
It is a very flexible machine, capable of performing the core processes in the manufacture of power, signal and telecommunication cables.

The Drum Twister can be used for:
- Laying up of rounds insulated conductors for LV and MV from 26 mm² to 500 mm² and up to diameter 160 mm;
- Laying up of sector shape prespiraled for LV and MV up to diameter 150 mm;
- Stranding of sectors Milliken copper and aluminum conductors up to 3000 mm²;
- Screening with Cu and Al wires;
- Armouring with steel wires.

Two of the most important characteristics of OM Lesmo’s ring and roller type Drum Twister are the integrated rotating belt type caterpillar in the take-up and the support by under rollers.
The machines can be supplied with pay-offs for:
- coils and bobbins in different sizes from 1000 mm up to 4000 mm;
- taping heads for paper, plastic, copper, aluminum and steel tapes;
- bobbin handling and loading with motorized or manual trolleys and hydraulic lifting platforms.
