The Monotorsion or Single Twist Machine is an extremely versatile and reliable machine. Part of it’s versatility comes from a smooth wire path geometry design incorporating slight angles and generous radii enabling it to produce a wide range of special cables.

MTO can be used for:
- Stranding of unilay and reverse concentric cables;
- Rope or laying-up of flexible and ultraflexible cable;
- Screening and armouring;
- Production of telephone, building, power, signal and fiber optic cables;
- LAN cables with or without taping.

MTO can be utilized in the role of both take-up and pay-off applications as in the production of reverse concentric lay products. When production shifts away from a back-twist pay-off requirement, the line can be configured into two independent lines.
The MTO is available with a direct haul-off, internal or external capstan configurations.
